Hunter Boots

Tired of Wet Ankles!

I guess it must be all the rain we are getting that has made me obsess about a purchase of hunter rain boots. I'm just not sure what style and size to get...many have said that they are 1-1.5 sizes larger than their claimed size. They are also very expensive and it's difficult to find a good deal. So for now, I'll just continue to think about it...here are some of my top picks.

Store Spotlight: Topshop

Have you been to Topshop?

(can you hear my British accent)

If you haven't - please go...it's a great store and soon we'll have it in Canada (yay the peasants rejoice!). Apparently they are teaming up with The Bay...so soon we'll be able to buy without the hassle of customs and no tracking info - most annoying!

Anyway, I was obsessed with their trousers (which ironic with a name like topshop) - until I caved and bought 3-4 pairs...I love love love them. They have a great cut for girls of my shape (pear). I have a really hard time finding pants that fit comfortably and for some reason topshop does the trick (perhaps because of all the Scottish/Irish ancestry??). After failing at H&M, Zara, Le Chateau...I almost gave up! Anyway, here are some of my favorite trousers from their site - highly highly recommended! Earring Holders

I Need to Organize and Sort my Earrings!

How many of you have desperately shuffled through a pile of earrings hoping to find the ones you want right before you are about to leave? Instead, you get a clump of earrings, which you have to separate, only to find one...and you can never find the other. My pile of earrings isn't even that big - I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I had a really large collection.

On my hunt for graphic tees I have eyed a few graphic sneakers. Maybe a pair of these are in my future?

Unfortunately, most of the designs I like are copyrighted and you have to visit the website to view (boooo Zazzle!). I really like this store. There are a lot of great clothes in so many fantastic colors. I loved the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. My favorite items they make are sweaters - they have so

many great colors that you just can't get anywhere else. I have also bought a number of tee's and shirts from this store. The prices are higher than other places, but the quality is much better - waiting for a sale is the way to go. Here are some examples:

While ignoring work this morning, I noticed google was highlighting the 226 birthday of artist John James Audubon. I thought what better to celebrate with a t-shirt hunt. Sure enough, there are several places you can buy t-shirts that exhibit his art - and they are gorgeous! Audubon specialized in illustrations of American birds in their natural habitat.
