Shop Spotlight: Effy Jewelry

I came across this rather expensive brand of jewelry today. I have never heard of it before. They have so many unique pieces. I think I may have to make a purchase.

My favorite for now:

All Things Druzy

Druzy Jewelry

When I was searching for labradorite jewelry, I came across druzy slice jewelry. Druzy is another term for the inner cavity of a geode and it seems to be becoming population in places like etsy. Here are some of the examples I've been eying...

Earring Holders

I Need to Organize and Sort my Earrings!

How many of you have desperately shuffled through a pile of earrings hoping to find the ones you want right before you are about to leave? Instead, you get a clump of earrings, which you have to separate, only to find one...and you can never find the other. My pile of earrings isn't even that big - I couldn't imagine what it would be like if I had a really large collection.

These are some ideas I have...the creativity that places like etsy foster just amazes me...hope you enjoy!

Someone has used old printer drawers in a new way - really neat!

You can find many like this - in all sorts of prints/frames.

Of course, a lot of carpenters have come up with solutions.

And also those who work with metals.

Finally, some crafty people have come up with this solution - which could be very easily replicated at home.

Store Spotlight: Tazzie

Jewelry Designs by Tazzie

While wandering the sites of Esty, I stumbled upon this store. A jewelry designer from Springfield, Missouri. Her website and info is here. What I love most at this store are the ammolite rings, some of which she will make-to-order.

Ammolite is one of the most rare gemstones, it is made of fossilized shells of ammonites (thanks wikipedia). What is even more cool about ammolite is that you find it in the Rockies and it is the official gemstone of Alberta, as well as the city of Lethbridge (go Lethbridge!!). Anyway, take a look see and let me know what you think!

Lovely Labradorite

Labradorite Galore!

I became obsessed with labradorite after watching this on Land and Sea (CBC Canada - True Blue episode). Here is the link of the artist from the show.

I immediately headed over to etsy and was lost in a sea of blue. I eventually ended up buying myself a pendant on Ebay from this store (see below).
